& Policies

These policies are issued by R.E.A.L. K9 Training, LLC (doing business as REAL K9 Training™)

We’ve done our homework—so you know exactly what to expect.

Cancellation &
No-Show Policy

To ensure a smooth and efficient scheduling process, we have established the following cancellation and no-show policy for private lessons:

1. Cancellation and Rescheduling:

  • Clients are required to provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to the scheduled session if they need to cancel or reschedule.

  • The same 24 hour policy applies to subscription sessions.

  • In the event of a cancellation or rescheduling with less than 24 hours' notice or a no-show without prior communication, the client will be responsible for payment of the session.

  • For clients with lesson packages, the missed session will be deducted from their package.

 

2. Non-package Holders:

  • Clients who do not have a package or subscription, the missed session must be paid in full before scheduling the next appointment. 

  • For subscription clients, the session will be forfeited and cannot be rescheduled.

 

3. Emergency Cancellation:

  • We understand that emergencies can arise unexpectedly, and we aim to be understanding and compassionate. At our discretion, we may allow a one-time emergency cancellation without penalty. Please note that this exception is not guaranteed and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

4. Trainer-Initiated Cancellations:

  • If the trainer must cancel due to illness, travel, or emergency, the session will be rescheduled as soon as our schedule allows and will not count against the client.

 Training Session, Package & Subscription Policy

For clients who have purchased any training package (private lesson, day training, or virtual sessions), or enrolled in a monthly subscription plan, the following policy applies:

1. Session Validity and schedule Policy​

  • 6-Session Package: Valid for 3 month from start date. 

  • 12-Session Package: Valid for 6 month from the start date.

  • Subscriptions: Subscriptions are billed monthly and are non-refundable. Services included in each month's subscription must be used within that billing month and will expire at the end of the month.

 

2. Scheduling Flexibility:

  • Clients are responsible for scheduling their sessions within the designated time frame (3 month for 6-session package, 6 months for the 12-session package, or within the month subscription). To maximize training success, we recommend scheduling sessions weekly or bi-weekly, and booking the full package or all subscription services in advance is highly recommended, availability cannot be guaranteed if sessions are not scheduled early.

 

3. Ongoing Support & Reminders:

  • While clients are fully responsible for booking their sessions, we understand that life gets busy. If a client has not scheduled sessions on a consistent basis, we will may reach out 1-2 times during the package or subscription period to assist with scheduling and offer reminders.

5. Behavior Modification Training Subscription Policy:

For clients enrolled in a monthly subscription plan, the following policy applies:

    • Subscriptions are billed monthly and are non-refundable.

    • Sessions included in each month’s subscription must be used within that billing month and will expire at the end of the month.

  • Cancellation Policy

    • The same 24-hour cancellation policy applies to all subscription sessions.

    • The same emergency-cancellation policy applies as for all other private sessions.

    • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may be charged in full and cannot be rescheduled.

  • Scheduling

    • Clients are responsible for scheduling all subscription sessions within the month. Booking early is recommended, as availability cannot be guaranteed if sessions are scheduled last-minute.

6. Service Dog Training Subscription Policy:

For clients enrolled in a monthly subscription plan, the following policy applies:

  • Subscription Validity & Payment

    • Subscriptions are billed monthly and are non-refundable.

    • Sessions included in each month’s subscription must be used within that billing month and will expire at the end of the month.

  • Cancellation Policy

  • The same 24-hour cancellation policy applies to all subscription sessions.

    • The same emergency-cancellation policy applies as for all other private sessions.

    • After the initial 12 sessions, cancellations require 4 weeks’ notice to end the subscription.

  • Scheduling

    • Clients are responsible for scheduling all subscription sessions within the month. Booking early is recommended, as availability cannot be guaranteed if sessions are scheduled last-minute.

Note: For best results, clients are encouraged to commit to a regular training routine within the package or subscription period. Sessions not used within the designated validity period will expire.

Group Class Policy

1. No make up classes for Group Classes.​

Cancellations due to weather:

  • We will make a decision based on road conditions in the area and outdoor temperatures immediately surrounding the training area. If your class is cancelled, you will not be charged for that class/session and a make up class/session will be scheduled. All weather-related cancellation notifications will be done through text message or phone call. Please be advised that there could be times, due to weather related factors, that these notifications may be last minute. 

Other cancellations:

  • Classes/sessions that have to be cancelled due to instructor illness, travel or other emergencies. We will communicate those situations as early as possible via text message, email, phone call, or announcements in class (if lead time allows) We will attempt to call everyone on the class roster. It is the client's responsibility to have up-to-date contact information on file with us. In case the instructor cancels class/session, clients will not be charged for the class/session and clients will have their class extended by one week or session rescheduled as soon as our schedule allows. 

Refund Policy

  • We have a no refund policy for any of our services.​

  • Please note that these policies are subject to change at our discretion, and we encourage clients to review them periodically for any updates. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these policies, as they help us maintain an efficient and fair schedule for all of our clients.
